Benjamin Franklin, Founding Father, inventor, and exceedingly wise observer of human nature and the world said this about money and happiness:
“Money never made a man happy yet, nor will it. The more a man has, the more he wants. Instead of filling a vacuum, it makes one.”
I have met with many people who have money related issues, for the most part they all believe if they just had a little more, or a lot more money, all of their problems would be solved. For the majority, this just isn’t the case.
It doesn’t matter if you make $10,000 or $100,000 per year, bad financial behaviors and poor investment decisions will destroy wealth. It is just as easy to spend, borrow and lose $1 as it is $100.
If you are having money issues don’t wish and dream you made more money. Take a hard look at what you have and what past decisions and behaviors led to where you stand financially today.
Your net worth is what it is today because of the past decisions you have made, and your future net worth will be what it is based on decisions you make today. Choose wisely.
